Trip Route C A more difficult river and lakes combination canoe trip. Great walleye lakes. Twin
Falls, Tanner Lake, Maligne River and east to Poo Bah Lake, or
try it north up the Maligne River to Sturgeon Lake, ideal for basecamp exploring, return to Twin Falls for pick-up. We urge
barbless hooks for superb smallmouth bass and walleye fishing on

Trip Route D Indian
Village, Snake Falls (whitewater,) Three Mile Lake to Wolseley
Lake, onto Wisa-Vie Lake, Thompson Lake to Lac La Croix and paddle back to lodge. For another variation of trip D try our van shuttle service to Wisa Lake landing then onto Woolsey, Bear Pelt
Creek, Bear Pelt, Sturgeon, then down the Maligne River and be picked up at beautiful Twin Falls. This is a very quiet and untraveled route. For a longer version of this route we recommend heading north from
Three Mile to the Quetico River, Beaverhouse, Quetico, Conk, Jean, Budside Lakes to Jean Creek, Rouge to Sturgeon Lake, then down the Maligne River for pick-up at Twin Falls. This longer route is a fabulous 10-12 day
excursion with time for relaxing, sightseeing and plenty of world class fishing! Go

- North South Lake, Steep lake, Eugene, to Fat Fox , and catch
rainbow trout on this route. Beartrack to Gun Lake, to Lac

Canoe Outfitter. We make all BWCA and Quetico Park reservations for you
at NO extra charge, but remember to get your dates in
early as only a small number of guests are allowed to
enter each park daily. Our canoe trip outfitting base is located on
an island in Lac La Croix on the Canadian side, it's in the western
portion of the Quetico Park and BWCA. Zup's has been outfitting canoe trips since 1936 - tempering the wilderness just enough for human beings to enter and enjoy.

your canoe trip is with an overnight stay at the resort. Lack of knowledge and experience presents no
problem, as we pass on to you our lifetime of knowledge and wisdom in
the ways of the wilderness. Because of our know how, and strategic
location, we take you in and out of this wilderness without a struggle

Includes round trip boat
fare via Crane Lake, evening dinner, lodging and breakfast the next
morning. Then an early take-off for your canoe trip for 6 days and 5
nights of canoe camping (we'll bring you back on the 6th day!)
Everything furnished: food, canoe, equipment. You bring your personal
gear, camera, film and fishing tackle.
This is a total wilderness experience with the advantage of an overnight
stay at the main lodge base. Arrive in the afternoon and we'll go over
your itinerary, mark your map for the best campsites, portages and the
best fishing hot spots. Check over the food list, equipment and pack
your personal gear. After a good night's sleep, and a hearty breakfast,
we'll take you to your first portage.
Items Provided
Complete canoe trip outfitting includes your choice of canoes,
Alumacraft - light and standard weight with paddles, carrying yoke,
cushions and life vests, or Souris River Kevlar® or Dura Lite® canoes. Your choice of fresh and freeze-dried food
(fresh smoked bacon, ham, sausage have a special cure, choice steaks and
ground round, cheese & salami are the finest quality. White and dark
bread. Food requirements from our menu selections can be so adjusted to
suit your personal tastes.
Camping gear includes a special waterproof insect-proof, lightweight tent with dining fly, Dacron or down sleeping bags with Thermo-rest mattress, Duluth packsacks and plastic hard
packs for your food and gear, camp cook kit and utensils, axe, saw,
shovel, grate, grill, packs for your personal gear, a supply of plastic

Towboat
Service
Our
landing at Scott's Marina on Crane Lake, is just 30
minutes from U.S. HWY 53 at Orr, Minnesota. It is 10 1/2
hours from Chicago, ILL, 5 hours from Minneapolis or St.
Paul and 3 hours from Duluth, Minnesota. The expert or novice can
take advantage of our unique towboat service from Crane
Lake port of entry, via Dawson Portage to Lac La Croix and on to the portage of your choice. No need to stop at the Ranger Station, as Mark and Kathy write out all permits. |
2008 Jet Boat Rates Via The Little Vermilion River
We have just made traveling to the western
edge of both Parks an adventure in itself. Leave Crane Lake in our new
23 ft jet boat and travel the scenic little Vermilion River to Lac La
Croix and on to the entry point of your choice. No more loading and
unloading of gear...groups of six to ten people $190.00 round trip per
person Add $80.00 round
trip for your own canoe. Overnight
Accommodations and Meals
You can stay overnight at Zup's Fishing Camp on Lac La Croix for $90.00
per person. Includes your evening meal, lodging and breakfast.
This works great for an extra early start on the
morning of your trip, be at the first portage by 7:30am.
